Why Can't I Do This On My Own?
I often get asked the question "Why can't I do this on my own?" The answer is you can, kind of. You probably already have the ability to make extra payments to your mortgage principal. By making these payments you will reduce the number of years it will take to pay down your mortgage. Unfortunately, most of us know that, but we don't do it. Why? I know in my case, it was because I was afraid that if I set a specific dollar number to pay each month to my mortgage that I wouldn't have enough money to pay my other bills.
Now that I have the Money Merge Account, I don't worry at all. I calculate my monthly expenses and monthly income and let the Money Merge program do the rest. It automatically calculates how much I can pay extra on my mortgage. The Money Merge program is setup so that the maximum amount of money is sent to principal, while the least amount is spent on interest. The program takes into account when I have additional income and when I have additional expenses. It recalculates my extra mortgage payments and the time left on my mortgage seamlessly. Now I don't worry if I need that extra money to pay for a car repair or needed purchase.
